Default Where is the BEST LOCATION to get Gold Item Drops?

I just picked up this game about a week ago and I have been learning the ropes. I am through pre-sear, and is post farming the land, picking up quests, and finding the cities. I have not done too many quests because I wanted to check out some of the stuff first.

I have picked up 100s of Purple Items, but no Gold items yet.

Where is the BEST PLACE to find these Gold Weapons, Items.

I am a W/R...and I am looking for a Sheild and a (Sword/Axe)...I guess I would use the Hammer if that is what was dropped though.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I agree. Get to level 20 and then look for a farming build. That'll give you golds in no time.

W/Mo FOTM seems to be a good starter farming build, easy to manage.

The only reason I have been farming was because I am waiting for a friend to get all caught up...he is a few days behind and has not been able to play lately. So once I get to Lv20 I will get plenty of Gold item drops?

No the Green Item drops are only located in 2 sections in the game, and only dropped by bosses...is that right?"

It's easier to get gold drops when you're lvl 20 because it'll be easier to farm then. Even at lvl 20 it might take a bit for you to get the gold item you want. It's easier to farm for money and use it to buy the weapon you want from someone else.

Greens are only dropped in Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace, which are only in the Southern Shiverpeaks - somewhere you shouldn't be if you're lower than lvl 20. And yes, they only drop from bosses.

The earliest area that a gold item dropped for me was in Kryta. I doubt thats the best place to farm though.

I think the best place to farm is just any place you can kill A LOT of strong bad guys without dying. Of course the higher the level of the bad guys, the better the drops tend to be (since you are taking an enemy's weapon...youd want it to be strong), which is why the desert, fow, UW, SF are common farming places.

Sorrow's Furnace drops a lot of gold overall, chance of greens and a lot of the items produce 5-10 crafting material when salvaged per item.

Keep doing failed Final Assault missions... lots of farming and not trying to farm ><

Also convert wood -> paper then sell paper to rare material trader.

lol slow down mate, uve just got outa poresearing and you wona be a pro farmer? you need time, experience and understanding of builds before you go treasure hunting
Just get lvl 20, get through all desert missions and get to droknars AT LEAST before you start to question about mass farming.

*I solo griffons and average about 5 gold drops evevry 10-11 rounds(each round is about 5 mins)*

And if you're just looking for good weapons, they don't necessarily have to be gold. I've had totally irrelevant mods on gold weapons, and right now the 2 swords and shields that I use: 3 are purple and 1 is gold. It may not be 'perfect' but you don't need perfect right now (or ever, really) to get through the game.
